Our Impact Stories

We had planned for a home birth. However, during the ANC visits, the BAMA Staff explained to me why it’s important to deliver in a health center. And I am so grateful I did. I would’ve died at home because of the complications I experienced during labor.

Too many women in Uganda, especially in rural areas like the Masaka region, die because of complications during pregnancy or labor and delivery, and too many babies die in the first 28 days of life. They experience delays in the decision to seek care, reaching care, or in receiving quality care.
